Launch of new Trimoterm Design marks the 40th anniversary of Trimoterm panels

It was back in 1974 that the first Trimoterm thermal-insulated panels, manufactured with a polyurethane core, were produced and by 1987, the manufacture of building panels with mineral wool cores commenced.

Trimo
was the first company in the world to produce panels with mineral wool cores on a continuous production line and has been a pioneer of the technology ever since.

Fireproof panels that provided the perfect combination of mechanical properties (thermal insulation, fire resistance, sound insulation) and aesthetics were quickly adopted by architects and investors. This rapid adoption allowed Trimo to develop further its new manufacturing line for the production of Trimoterm fireproof façade panels in Slovenia and later saw manufacturing plants open in Russia and Serbia.

Over the last forty years Trimo has produced over 50 million m2 of panels, which have been used on buildings in more than 70 countries across 5 continents. Trimoterm solutions have been used on many prestigious projects and high profile brands such as Airbus, Ikea, Nestle, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Gillette, Tesco, Baumax and many others.

Trimoterm’s innovation and quality as an architectural product have been recognised through the many awards it has received over the years; including awards such as the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2010.

Trimoterm Design - new architectural solution

Marking the fortieth anniversary of Trimoterm panels, one of the most widely-used and recognisable fireproof panels in the world, Trimo has launched Trimoterm Design, a suite of panel aesthetics that bring new visual options to designers and architects.

GlaM is the first panel aesthetic from Trimoterm Design that allows the designer to play with the contrasting features of matt and gloss shine to deliver enormous variety patterns, in addition to a predesigned Vario Dot pattern, which is also available.

GlaM from Trimoterm Design, provides an attractive look without compromising any of the technical characteristics of the panel. The solution is composed of a complex film, with finishing from high gloss to matt in appearance.  GlaM can be used in external and internal applications, such as: exterior facades, interior walls/partition walls and interior ceilings.

Variety of gloss level:

  • High gloss: 50 - 80%
  • Semi-gloss/Semi-matt: 30 - 40 %
  • Matt: 10 - 20%
